Biotech Vac Salmonella is an inactivated, subunit vaccine that induces a protective immune response in poultry against Salmonella serotypes of food-borne disease concern. The protective antigens are recombinantly produced and then encapsulated in a natural polysaccharide, which protects the antigens until they reach the upper gastrointestinal tract. Once in the upper GI tract, the antigens are processed and induce a systemic anti-Salmonella immune response in vaccinated poultry.
Composition: Encapsulated Salmonella spp. Antigens
Indications: For the active immunization of poultry against Avian salmonellosis, an infection by non-host adapted Salmonella serotypes (Enteritidis, Typhimurium, Heidelberg, etc.)
