BV Science participated in IPPE 2018

BV Science, the joint business unit of Vetanco S.A. and Dr. Bata Ltd., participated in the International Production & Processing Expo 2018 (IPPE), held from January 30 to February 1 in Atlanta, USA.

During IPPE, BV Science held its Annual Marketing Summit, gathering business directors from all its subsidiaries and distributors. Technical and business updates on the key products, and business plans and budgets for all markets were presented. BV Science, Inc.’s shareholding agreement was signed by Vetanco and Dr. Bata, strengthening the ties between both companies. BV Science, Inc. is the US subsidiary established by the end of 2017.  In addition, agreements were signed with researchers, who will work in R&D in the areas of Biotechnology and Phytotherapeutics.


The team also presented five original research papers during the International Poultry Scientific Forum, held on Monday 29 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The Forum is part of the IPPE activities. In addition to interacting with professionals in a prominent academic environment, BV Science also strengthened its position as a R&D company that develops innovative products for antibiotic-free animal production, a leading market trend in the livestock industry.


BV Science was also present in the fair, in booth # 3211, Hall C. The multidisciplinary teams of BV Science, Vetanco and Dr. Bata held several work meetings with executives of major poultry, meat processing, and feed companies. The teams gathered more than 40 professionals, including technical sales professionals, researchers, developers, and experts.



IPPE is the largest global annual event dedicated to the poultry, meat, and feed industries. Leading companies participate for networking and to learn about the latest technological advances and to discuss the challenges faced by those industries. This year, more than 1,200 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors participated, among buyers and sellers of state-of-the-art products and services.

In 2016, Vetanco S.A., an international company with a strong commercial presence in the Americas, together with Dr. Bata Co., an European R&D company, announced the merger of their research, marketing, and technical support departments, establishing BV Science. Today, they have joint actions in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
